Roni & Matt

The Art of Love

THE STORY
“Come for the love, stay for the party”. Roni & Matt’s wedding day was a feast for the eyes and an indulgence for the heart. It was cool and effortless - much like Roni & Matt. And from morning coffee to midnight martini, it was every bit a party. The design featured retro influenced lines and forms and an artfully curated colour palette of bold block colours, all coming to life through playful yet refined furniture, graphics and structured floral designs. This design was the art of colour, form, control and most of all - the art of love.

THE STAGE
Jackalope Hotel, Mornington Peninsula.

THE NICETIES
Guests were introduced to Roni & Matt’s unique graphics from the moment they pulled into the Jackalope carpark. Marigold and cobalt blue welcome signage featured the subtle wiggled edge that would guide them through the rest of the playful love party. A custom decal applied to Jackalope’s unmistakable glass wine box gave clear instructions - go left for good times, go right for great times (it was soon clear that everyone went right).

THE MAGIC
A Chuppah we’ve been dreaming of, but patiently waiting to bring to life for just the right couple. A design bursting with colour and multiple floral installations, each install dominated by one floral variety blending into the next. A total abundance of gerberas, sunflowers and dahlias in sun-kissed hues framed Roni & Matt as they said ‘I Do’. The Jackalope vineyard, as always, served as a flawless backdrop for a moment that will be remembered long after this love party was over.

THE DRAMA
Sunflowers, en masse - like, really en masse. Roni & Matt’s feature bar wasn’t just designed to serve dancing fuel - it was designed to serve some serious drama. A custom cobalt blue wave framed a silver mirrored bar, and boldly cascading down one side - a sculptural installation of golden sunflower varieties demanding attention. Trust us, words can’t do this one justice.

THE FEAST
We styled Jackalope’s feature black marble grazing table with an abundance of sculptural florals, interesting textures and unique products. An evocative chef’s menu designed by Doot Doot Doot teased and pleased, while custom black and cobalt blue risers elevated both food and florals. This grazing table gave the dance floor a run for its money as the place to be.

THE PARTY
While pre-dinner drinks unfolded by the pool, the terrace was transformed into a sea of puffy forms, undulating curves and soft edges. Speaking to Roni & Matt’s appreciation for form and design, luxurious velvet furniture pieces in mustard, lilac, rosewood and merlot elevated the terrace. And from there the party began. The chaos and joy of the horah was contagious and the dance floor antics were next level. The best part? Guests captured it all through their custom branded cameras, creating snapshots in time of memories made with love (and wine).
