Neighbour’s Farewell Lunch

Neighbour’s Farewell Lunch

We'll miss you Ramsay Street

THE STORY
After 37 years on-air, Australia’s longest running drama series was celebrated and farewelled, surrounded by the nostalgia of its original set. The Neighbour’s cast and crew came together one last time, saying goodbye to the many years (and many plot twists) that unfolded on Ramsay Street.

THE STAGE
Studio A, Neighbour's set.

THE NICETIES
Directed through the studio by a series of Ramsay Street signs, guests sat down to indulge in a walk down memory lane. Entire tablescapes covered in iconic Neighbour’s characters, imagery and quotes sat between Harold’s and The Waterhole. Cheeky copy and menus disguised as scripts ensured that every moment felt personalised.

THE MAGIC
As guests dined they reminisced on those unforgettable TV moments, from Charlene & Scott’s wedding of the century to Karl Kennedy’s array of affairs. Every wedding, death and cliffhanger projected throughout the studio from multiple screens, and we’d be lying if we said there were no tears.

THE DRAMA
Enter the poppies - en masse, as they should be! The set was buzzing with excitement and last minute touches, but all eyes paused when the poppies arrived. They weaved through tables and intertwined with famous lines, complimenting the vibrancy and golden hues of the set around them.

THE SPOTLIGHT
Festoon lighting danced over the dining tables and in between actual spotlights. Network 10 camera crews dotted the studio, capturing the energy, warmth and sentiment in the room.
