Sarah & Greg

Sarah & Greg

New romantics

THE STORY
Where do we start with Sarah & Greg? For starters, they’re cool. Uber cool. So obviously we had no choice but to make their wedding day an explosion of all things cool, confident and original. Their brief matched their energy - it was FUN. Sarah & Greg’s “best friends and lovers” attitude inspired a concept that didn’t take itself too seriously, playing with nostalgic details and retro romance.

THE STAGE
Ceremony - Harbour Room, St. Kilda.
Reception - Stokehouse, St. Kilda.

THE NICETIES
Over here at The Style Co. we’re big fans of custom touches that make guests say “that’s SO them!”. For Sarah & Greg, that meant quirky typography and tablescape details that tasted as good as they looked. Guests sat down to custom love heart keychains and packets of Swizzles (we told you it was nostalgic). Cherries and love heart candy spilled out of floral arrangements and onto tables. It was cheeky - nearly as cheeky as Sarah & Greg.

THE FEAST
We wish we could take credit for the award-winning food and wine offerings, but that was all Stokehouse. To kick things off - beetroots and berries with in-house jersey ricotta and roasted southern calamari. Aquna Murray Cod, local mussels and stuffed kohlrabi followed. And to wrap it all up - white chocolate vodka pearls and chocolate hazelnut rocher. K, bye.

THE DRAMA
If Sarah & Greg’s ceremony flowers could speak, they’d be saying “Is it me? Am I the drama?”. (Shameless TikTok reference). This ceremony design was bursting with colour and love. An eccentric floral garden of coral peonies, cherry-red roses, delphinium and anthuriums on a bed of hydrangea. You know it’s a goodie when you have to upgrade your iCloud storage on-site…

THE MAGIC
Because we design *everything* on purpose, you better believe the candy coloured florals mimicked the Stokehouse sunset (if you know, you know). Hues of baby pink and soft blue throughout the room melted into the sky and final streaks of sun bounced off jewelled menus, creating a truly magical moment.
