Jessie & Michael – The Big Day

Jessie & Michael – The Big Day

Straight off the runway

THE STORY
A three day affair commencing with the welcome dinner of welcome dinners, followed by The Big Day and then wrapped up perfectly with a relaxed recovery.

THE STAGE
Jackalope Hotel, Mornington Peninsula.

THE NICETIES
An achingly cool couple. Their incredible parents. An incomparable brief. A project-made-in-heaven fit for 'THE ANGELS'.

THE PARTY
Something we learnt pretty quickly about Jessie, Michael and their family: they believe everyday life should be celebrated and they never do things in halves. So it's no surprise that this weekend was always going to be a vibrant, fashion-forward, equal parts negroni/music fuelled, show-stopper of a party honouring love and family.

THE BOOZE
A shoutout to the Jackalope beverage team (yes, there's a whole department dedicated to booze) for ensuring the 900+ cocktails served across the weekend were delicious-masterful-creations-of-utter-brilliance.

THE FEAST
Jackalope are as serious about their guest experience as they are about their food. An incredible showcase of produce-worshipping dishes delighted guests from the second they checked in. Think Rare Hare duck dogs (IYKYK) and wagyu sliders with all the pickles. Cut to the grazing installation (yes, installation) to rival any visual masterpiece. Chef's kiss.

THE DRAMA
The unsuspecting couple were blown away when the Bride's Man-of-Honour took to the dance floor straight after the couples speech, leading the guests in a flash mob that they had been secretly rehearsing for months. It was spectacular. The enthusiasm of their family and friends, the look on Jessie and Michael's faces - magical moments like this have a forever kinda sparkle.

THE MAGIC
So much magic, at every turn. The kind that bolts up your spine, imprinting permanently in your memory bank. Guests left with full hearts, sore feet and in awe of the uniqueness they had just experienced.
