Carmen + Daniel Luminare, South Melbourne
Luminare was the venue of choice for our gorgeous couple, Carmen and Daniel, and the perfect backdrop for this fun urban design.
Carmen and Daniel both loved colour along with foliage and flowers so this was the perfect opportunity to do something outside the traditional wedding box – needless to say our excitement levels were at an all time high!
In true Melbourne fashion the clouds opened up so the wet weather plan was called into action. This meant the ceremony was held on the retro black and white dance floor which added a quirky layer to the ceremony backdrop. Our couple were framed by two concrete rendered pillars that were adorned with feature arrangements of tropical foliage, spanish moss, anthuriums, and red roses popping against white phalaenopsis orchids. Wild tropical gardens grew from the base of the pillars with neon strip lighting which was turned on when the gardens became part of the photobooth backdrop.
The tablescape design focused on the layering of textures so white linen table cloths and grey linen napkins were dressed with concrete risers with a gold leaf detailing, nestled in amongst the structural floral centrepieces. The personalised menu’s had a textured paint effect which we carried through all the signage on the day. A feature tropical install above the bridal table was the finishing touch and framed the large dining area perfectly.
A big thank you to Carmen and Daniel who politely said ‘no thank you’ to white and green and ‘hell yes’ to colour! The end result was full of impact, warmth and fun, all the things a great wedding must have.
