Style Co. (better known as The Style Co.) are Melbourne’s leading wedding design studio – from complete event design, planning and florals.

It’s hardly work when we get to hang with a beautiful family and our awesome friends at Food & Desire in creating a fun coming of age celebration!

Thomas’ event design was focussed around a welcoming café feel with an open kitchen that combined industrial elements, modern textures and pops of colour.

The feature 10.8 metre long custom bar cladded in a subway tiles print perfectly framed the epicness that the chefs were creating in the kitchen. A feature bar isn’t complete without some cool branding so we knew the hero had to be the yellow acrylic ‘THOMAS’ sign suspended above the open kitchen and nestled amongst the fresh greenery. This branding continued all the way through to the menus, staff uniforms and other signage.

The tablescape design had to allow enough room for the abundance of Italian inspired share platters so we went with two looks to break up the space. The first design saw crisp natural white linen with fresh seasonal herbs as the centrepiece pop against modern black loft chairs. Then the second design used exposed black timber tables as the base for our custom Olive and fresh greenery trees.

The transformation of this once tennis court to achingly cool café was one of our favourites yet! A massive high five to the team who helped flipped this lunch soiree into a nighttime extravaganza for the kids… @Dann Events @SolutionEntertainment

Behind every Style Co Event Design our number one focus has always been making people feel something… after all, this is the greatest memory you will take away from any celebration.

Together with the talented (and handsome) lads at Humdrum Films we have been working on this special project that we’ve poured so much love into over the last year, so that you too can feel the adrenaline, the passion, the stress and absolute euphoria that comes from working with amazing clients, an insanely talented team and the best suppliers in the industry.

Wedding anniversaries are a time to celebrate and relive every delicious memory from the sweetest day of your life. 365 days have passed since we delivered the most epic of weddings, so tonight we’re reminiscing and celebrating all the awesomeness that was #MRANDMRSSWAGGYVEE.

The gorgeous Nicky and Matty come to us shortly after becoming engaged and it was very evident from day dot that this couple were very much in sync and very much in love. The perfect combination to ensure that we as a creative team and wedding planners could spend the next year crafting their big day to absolute perfection.

Their vision was very clear, both having proud Italian upbringings meant that this celebration was about Family with a capital F! It was about bringing together their nearest and dearest (yes all 300+ hand picked guests) to share a day full of love, laugher and of course, food. It was about welcoming every single guest on arrival and reminding them all night long of the special place they held in Nicky and Matty’s hearts. And finally, it was without a doubt, about the P-A-R-T-Y in true Swaggy Vee fashion!!

The newly purchased Verrocchi home was the perfect location for said occasion. The biggest and first of many family celebrations to be hosted here. Massive renovations works had commenced almost a year prior to the big day. An epic two week bump in saw us working with an ever changing property as contractors raced against the clock to get everything done in time. Think fifty odd tradesmen from all professions – landscapers, tilers, carpenters, riggers and painters, working in unison day and night to bring this event to life.

The final touches took place an hour before guests arrived. Leaving us with just enough time to step back and soak in the greatest transformation that we had ever been a part of. Guests quickly started to arrive and the buzz in the air was contagious. With every single step that guests took on the custom black carpet that ran the length of the property, we could feel their excitement and anticipation for the night ahead.

Every inch of the stunning 5500 square metres of the Verrocchi home was used. The modern yet classic ceremony seated 200 guests and took place in one of the gardens adjacent to the home. Nicky and Matty were married under a contemporary white steel arch with white florals and greenery growing throughout.
Guests then moved down to the pre dinner drinks bar but not before taking a photo on the terrace where we created a custom ‘MR & MRS VERROCCHI’ backdrop.

The look in the pre dinner drinks bar was a shift from the ceremony space. The custom Swaggy Vee bar had a dramatic colour palette of blush, burgundy and ruby tones, intentionally evoking a sexier, glamorous mood. Guests were then welcomed into the ‘Dining Hall’. A custom built facade was the entrance feature transforming the marquee into an extravagant modern dining experience. Over 40 square metres of dripping wisteria and foliage were suspended over the central tables which were flooded with white pillar candles below. Luxe white florals covered the outer tables creating an effortless balanced design. Personalised menus with gold foil mesh detailing sat along side soft grey crockery and gold cutlery. A diamond steel grid was suspended behind the bridal table filled with white florals and foliage framing the entire bridal party.

After dinner and speeches were completed guests were then welcomed onto the dance floor to continue festivities well into the wee hours. The stage design had to set the tone for the party ahead so naturally we knew it had to be impressive. For us that meant two layered triangular custom walls standing 12m wide and over 3m high. The front layer consisted of a diamond steel grid consistent with the bridal backdrop with wild burgundy foliage growing through out. Behind stood a custom light wall of over 200 exposed light bulbs pulsating to beat of the music.

The remaining hours of the night are a goldmine of memories with images of everyone, young and old gathering on that dance floor with their foam ‘Just Married’ hands in tow, letting loose and loving life. If you look closely you’ll see we might of got caught up in some of the foam hand shenanigans ourselves!

The biggest of thank you’s to the greatest partners in crime themselves, Nicky and Matty for trusting us completely. To our amazing team for working around the clock, for pushing the boundaries, for the love, sweat and tears that went into this wedding and for continuously digging deep and smiling through every challenge. Tash + Juzzy, like most Melbournians are lovers of good food, fashion, design, travel, the odd drink (or a few) and an epic party! And boy do they know how to party!!

So when they chose us to design their modern day black tie wedding, we knew it had to be pretty schmick!

We took it from the top and started with the invitation to give the guests a taste of what was to come.. the tri-fold invitation featured a custom designed ‘flowerbomb’ print, bold typography, a gold foil shard to house a map and more deets then finished off with a luxe velvet ribbon (that they packaged into little black box)… talk about a teaser! It was pretty spesh to say the least.

The soft floral and flowy foliage were the feature in the ceremony, framing Tash and Juzzy while they wed in the gorgeous Treasury gardens. For the reception at Aerial South Wharf, guests were treated to deeper floral tones with a healthy dash of black and gold metallic shards and monotone ‘flowerbomb’ prints.

From the entrance staircase, to the bar features, photo backdrop, signage, pop-up gardens, table arrangements, cake, linen, crockery, cutlery and stationery… every detail was covered. All the guests had to do was enjoy the feast by the fine folk at Food + Desire, drink to their hearts content and party hard into the night with the newlyweds.

If you can’t feel your feet the next morning you know it was a pretty epic party! E.P.I.C!

So let’s go back… to not too long ago when we celebrated this one special day with two very special humans.. and partied like never before! One of the humans in particular, you may know…

She’s my partner in crime in this little business we’ve built called The Style Co. and someone who more than anyone I had hoped would find the love of her life. After all, our jobs are to create for our couples, the backdrop for the first day of the rest of their lives and folks, this little lady, does it with such incredible passion, it’s no wonder our fridge (and drawers) are filled with such moving thank you notes.

Of course I’m talking about our very own Sarah (Sez) and she’s made one very dapper Damien (Dam) a bona fide happy little vegemite.

The love story can only be described as a classic Rom-com! Although we weren’t there to witness the awkward playground ‘friendship’ in primary and high school, we could see why this friendship had stood decades and grew into a love that will continue (as the hashtag says)… forevs!

Their friendship is one constant competition about who’s funnier than who (we still can’t decide) and Dam’s unparalleled OCD-ness and love for shiny fast machines somehow worked perfectly with Sez’s organised chaos, love for old industrial treasures and slow daytime bevvies amongst good company.

As Sez said in her speech, she’s been to a few weddings in her time… but this was the one.

The one where she would be our client, the one where our hand picked team would be the architects and the one to be etched into her heart (and ours) forever. It was the one she had been composing on her Pinterest board all these years without even knowing it.

So my friends, I have never been prouder to show you the wedding that will definitely be the most memorable in The Style Co. history books for me and for all the right reasons.

Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm and food. Those pumpkin tortellini’s.. yass!

Our gorgeous couple, Maria and Chris wanted their intimate celebration to be warm and welcoming whilst maintaining an air of elegance. A rich colour palette of burgundy, emerald and gold certainly ensured we delivered on their brief.

The stunning Deck at Circa was the perfect backdrop for their big day with the ceremony taking place underneath the most heavenly floral chandelier and their dearest family and friends surrounding them in a semi circle.

The lush florals continued into the dining room where our winter favourites, cymbidium orchids, magnolia and calla lillies spilled across the length of the tables. The drama of these centrepieces combined with the luxurious marble trays, gold cutlery, charcoal linen and custom designed menus made for the most memorable experience for guests.

One of our favourite designs for the season, it oozes everything we love about winter weddings. Big hugs to Maria and Chris for being so adorable, we had a ball working with you!

Laura and Ben’s big day was one achingly cool celebration. Their design brief came directly from brief heaven; take two iconic Brisbane venues (neither traditional wedding spaces) pair that with a Pinterest board that’s bursting with travel, music, design inspo (not a single wedding reference) then add two chilled human beings who trust what you do and are keen to push the boundaries – winning!

Powerhouse’s stunning sky high concrete walls were the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. Crisp white bentwood chairs were placed in a semi circle to create an intimate setting. We lined the aisle with a thick runner of lush foliage and pampas grass that continued up into an asymmetrical free standing frame.

Laura and Ben’s local live music venue, The Triffid was completely transformed for the evening. On arrival guests were invited to grab a keepsake from the fully stocked merch stand complete with L + B mugs, t-shirts, posters and caps!

The feature welcome sign was a free standing blush rendered wall with brushed copper laser cut letters that extended out through the wild greenery.
A mix of grey concrete and blush bricks were layered on the guest tables with moody, hand painted florals dripping over, black dinner candles added a hint of romance.

In true ‘muso’ spirit, we knew the stage design had to be a feature. Custom designed artwork inspired by Laura’s many pins of abstract, dripping paint designs were printed on three 5m long canvas banners and were the backdrop to the neon centrepiece that read ‘You Me Oui’. We then framed this massive stage with two epic walls of wild foliage and branches.

Hats off to Laura and Ben who didn’t let the distance between Brisbane and Melbourne get in the way of our love affair. We love our road trips and this one will forever be one of our faves!

A heart stopping private property was the backdrop for Emel + Ersan’s big day. The design was bursting with greenery, ivory tones and luxe marble textures to create the perfect vibe for their relaxed celebrations.

The gorgeous couple exchanged vows under the lush four post arch which was then used as a canopy for guests to lounge under for the remainder of the evening.

From this lounge area guests were then welcomed into the marquee with a personalised Emel + Ersan entry feature, adorned with floral arrangements. The centrepiece to the reception (and our favourite part) was of course the beautiful bridal installation. The large steel linear structure, with intertwined foliage and florals framed the elegantly styled bridal table to create a truly picturesque feature. Oh, and in case you were wondering our second favourite part… was without-a-doubt the four-tiered marble finished cake. #foodporn.

We’re very stoked to have met these amazing humans, and have to worked in-tune with them to create something *this* special. Emel + Ersan, you’re incredible.

With the lust-worthy Melbourne cityscape backdrop, Carly + Simon exchanged I do’s under the reclaimed steel archway decorated by soft white florals and greenery. After the ceremony, Carousel’s stunning deck was transformed into an alfresco entertaining area, complete with a custom geo-marble bar. Overlooking the serene Albert Park lake, the intimate lounge areas featured cosy couches with pops of marble and gold.

The tablescapes created a simplistic canvas on which marble tiles formed the base for the fresh and contemporary centerpieces. This modern feel continued through the design of the herringbone inspired ceiling installation, adorned with leafy foliage, pops of vibrant florals and crystal cut lighting.

We can’t thank these amazing humans enough for being insanely sweet and for allowing our inner luxe feels to ooze through.

We truly believe that a party isn’t quite complete without these essentials; love, individuality, and of course, free-flowing cocktails. Delightedly, Carolyn + Craig thought exactly that, with their exquisitely unrefined celebrations delivering an abundance of fun and frivolity.

A beautifully tranquil property in country NSW was the poetic surrounding to this epic extravaganza that celebrated not only a 50th birthday, but also a 60th birthday and wedding (yep, you read correctly). But, being the party people we are, we couldn’t wait to throw our hands in the air like we just didn’t care! The styling for Carolyn + Craig’s teeming festivity exemplified awe-inspiring natural beauty. Understated collided with totally chilled vibes, and effortlessly married lush country landscapes with innate colours and textures drawn from an earthy palette.

A monumental deck design, equipped with an in-build bar + food station that featured 360 degree access was the vivid centerpiece to the revelry. Its organic reclaimed timber texture brought an authentically rustic quality to the design, and accentuated the vibrant greenery and floral arrangements that embellished it.

Above, a superbly voluminous canopy of wild native foliage and branches intertwined with rope detailing created a rugged, moody feel.

As an ode to Carolyn + Craig’s beloved horses, a second custom bar – because one sometimes isn’t enough – was dedicated to their precious Willy + Rosie. The high stable bar, complete with gold hinging and beautiful cascading foliage, met with luscious floral tablescape arrangements and tea lights to create the ultimate ‘sipping on delicious cocktails’ atmosphere.

With the afternoon sun casting a radiant light through the transparent marquee, guests were invited to kick back on the wooden pallet couches and soft furnishings of neutral suede pillows, ahead of a very special on stage performance. Enhanced with vibrant crimson arrangements and unruly native greenery cascading down the wall, the stage was a perfectly decorated setting for the insanely talented Wendy

Matthews band. As the sun set, the marquee opened up to a quaint lake view lounge, lit up by draped festoon lighting that angelically reflected off the water in the evening.

We couldn’t be happier for Carolyn + Craig celebrating these symbolic milestones, and we thank you for your trust, and for being as lovely and sweet as the loot bags.

And of course, hi-fives all-round to the extraordinary crew who *literally* turned the party WAY up to unimaginable heights!
