A big part of our role is to source the perfect venue for our couples. So when the gorgeous Georgia and James (who are based overseas) came to us wishing to source a venue that would dazzle their guests we knew we had the perfect location for them!

Knowing full well that every guest was flying in for the occasion, our couple wanted us to consider every single detail, ensuring we were creating an unforgettable experience and the ultimate garden party.

Guests were dropped off at one end of the property in front of an old wooden door. Unbeknownst to them, on the other side was the most divine rose garden which they were able to enjoy, strolling through (with bubbles in hand of course)on their way down to the ceremony location.

It made complete sense to use the large feature urn and sandstone wall as the backdrop for the ceremony. The cascading crisp white hydrangea was striking against the rich green of those hedges.

An epic pool of these proportions was made for entertaining. Our friends over at Tommy Collins treated guests to delicious poolside cocktails, yummy canapes and a never ending seafood station.

Guests were then welcomed into the dining area where arrangements of perfectly blush roses, fluffy pampas, golden + white hydrangea and moody black roses were dotted down the long tables, each one different to the next. Custom layered drapes framed the bar and velvet lounges adorned the open air lounge.

The night was a perfect combination of great food, amazing company and a series of heartfelt speeches that gave as all goosebumps. After which the party started and boy oh boy did these guys party. The dance floor was packed all night long. The custom visors were a smashing hit and they made an appearance at the recovery, and the recovery’s recovery.

To Mr + Mrs Rollin, what a journey, and an unforgettable one at that. Thanks for letting us roll with you!

Wow, what a wedding! To the wonderful, wonderful people at The Style Co. and Sez in particular, thank-you for making our dream day a dream come true! No words can describe how happy you made us on our special day, you all really are so amazing and we couldn’t have done it without you!

Living overseas and providing you with a tough brief you guys absolutely hit it out of the park, no detail was spared and the success of the day (and all of our friends not wanting to have a wedding after our wedding- I mean what could proceed that!) just shows how incredible you all are!

Having different time zones didn’t matter to The Style Co, they replied to every and all emails within a matter of hours (sometimes minutes!).

You guys made the whole planning process a breeze and you kept us happy, ecstatic, elated and excited through the whole time, there was no stress pimples for this bride!

We will never, ever forgot how hard you guys worked for us and how much joy you bought to us and our guests over the weekend!

You are all BEYOND amazing, THANK-YOU!

Wedding anniversaries are a time to celebrate and relive every delicious memory from the sweetest day of your life. 365 days have passed since we delivered the most epic of weddings, so tonight we’re reminiscing and celebrating all the awesomeness that was #MRANDMRSSWAGGYVEE.

The gorgeous Nicky and Matty come to us shortly after becoming engaged and it was very evident from day dot that this couple were very much in sync and very much in love. The perfect combination to ensure that we as a creative team and wedding planners could spend the next year crafting their big day to absolute perfection.

Their vision was very clear, both having proud Italian upbringings meant that this celebration was about Family with a capital F! It was about bringing together their nearest and dearest (yes all 300+ hand picked guests) to share a day full of love, laugher and of course, food. It was about welcoming every single guest on arrival and reminding them all night long of the special place they held in Nicky and Matty’s hearts. And finally, it was without a doubt, about the P-A-R-T-Y in true Swaggy Vee fashion!!

The newly purchased Verrocchi home was the perfect location for said occasion. The biggest and first of many family celebrations to be hosted here. Massive renovations works had commenced almost a year prior to the big day. An epic two week bump in saw us working with an ever changing property as contractors raced against the clock to get everything done in time. Think fifty odd tradesmen from all professions – landscapers, tilers, carpenters, riggers and painters, working in unison day and night to bring this event to life.

The final touches took place an hour before guests arrived. Leaving us with just enough time to step back and soak in the greatest transformation that we had ever been a part of. Guests quickly started to arrive and the buzz in the air was contagious. With every single step that guests took on the custom black carpet that ran the length of the property, we could feel their excitement and anticipation for the night ahead.

Every inch of the stunning 5500 square metres of the Verrocchi home was used. The modern yet classic ceremony seated 200 guests and took place in one of the gardens adjacent to the home. Nicky and Matty were married under a contemporary white steel arch with white florals and greenery growing throughout.
Guests then moved down to the pre dinner drinks bar but not before taking a photo on the terrace where we created a custom ‘MR & MRS VERROCCHI’ backdrop.

The look in the pre dinner drinks bar was a shift from the ceremony space. The custom Swaggy Vee bar had a dramatic colour palette of blush, burgundy and ruby tones, intentionally evoking a sexier, glamorous mood. Guests were then welcomed into the ‘Dining Hall’. A custom built facade was the entrance feature transforming the marquee into an extravagant modern dining experience. Over 40 square metres of dripping wisteria and foliage were suspended over the central tables which were flooded with white pillar candles below. Luxe white florals covered the outer tables creating an effortless balanced design. Personalised menus with gold foil mesh detailing sat along side soft grey crockery and gold cutlery. A diamond steel grid was suspended behind the bridal table filled with white florals and foliage framing the entire bridal party.

After dinner and speeches were completed guests were then welcomed onto the dance floor to continue festivities well into the wee hours. The stage design had to set the tone for the party ahead so naturally we knew it had to be impressive. For us that meant two layered triangular custom walls standing 12m wide and over 3m high. The front layer consisted of a diamond steel grid consistent with the bridal backdrop with wild burgundy foliage growing through out. Behind stood a custom light wall of over 200 exposed light bulbs pulsating to beat of the music.

The remaining hours of the night are a goldmine of memories with images of everyone, young and old gathering on that dance floor with their foam ‘Just Married’ hands in tow, letting loose and loving life. If you look closely you’ll see we might of got caught up in some of the foam hand shenanigans ourselves!

The biggest of thank you’s to the greatest partners in crime themselves, Nicky and Matty for trusting us completely. To our amazing team for working around the clock, for pushing the boundaries, for the love, sweat and tears that went into this wedding and for continuously digging deep and smiling through every challenge. Destination weddings call for wow factor! So when Jess + Jeff approached us to create their big day here in Oz we jumped for joy! With a design brief of a relaxed, modern, Australian getaway vibe we looked no further than Cloverdel, situated in Victoria’s ridiculously picturesque countryside.

There’s no surprise, that when you’re working with foodies who have their own organic food business back home, that a ‘farm-to-table’ concept was inevitably high up on the list. So the couple enlisted the catering geniuses over at Food and Desire to bring this concept to life.

Positioned underneath the willow trees by the lake, Jess and Jeff’s ceremony backdrop grew ground up. Ivory toned florals, soft textured pampass grass, and pops of blue delphinium all nestled amongst cascading wild foliages. Picture perfect!

Guests then moved into the pre dinner drinks space where a seating chart of stacked fruit crates overflowing with fresh herbs and florals sat pretty in the garden while guests sipped on cocktails, devoured canapes and casually made friends with the wombats and wallabies in the Australian native petting zoo. Yeah, you heard us. “What’s an Australian vacay without a petting zoo right?”

Contemporary furniture pieces were selected to compliment the modern Australian design.

Layered raw sandstone was the base for our textured tablescapes. A bed of earthy moss and native foliages were teamed with them hopelessly-romantic, dusty pink roses and dancing florals.

The epic custom 5-metre linear rope installation took centre stage, surrounded by rolling dunes of moss, florals and trees creating the ultimate pop up garden!

It was a party of epic proportions and a total memory-maker for Jess, Jeff and all their family and friends. Thank you Jess & Jeff for trusting us with your big day we had a ball!

The Style Co. team went on the road again for Michelle + Andrews big day! This time we jumped on a plane and headed to Sydneytown before driving out to beautiful Camden.

It was such an honour to work with Michelle + Andrew (Lovell), not only are these guys seriously cool humans, with effortless style and the natural ability to rock a hat (shout out Lovell), they also gave us ultimate #weddinggoals with their beautiful boho-luxe inspiration. Their super laid back approach allowed us to create this gem (definitely one to go down in the faves list).

We were surrounded by gorgeous Hinterland scenery for the ceremony and then guests were ushered into the pre dinner drinks lounge with a custom bar that was better in real life than it was in our drawings (thanks Dylan.. two thumbs up!).

The dining tables were adorned with a monochromatic palette – pops of leather and brushed gold cutlery with entwined creeping foliage and bursts of flowers. Without a doubt one of our fave details was of course the custom made rope macramé panels that finished off the marquee.

A million thanks go to Michelle + Andrew for being absolute superstars, and for inspiring a creative process without any rules… because no rules are the best rules!

An epic shout out goes to the remarkable crew for all of the unforgettable shenanigans and for always bringing it.. rain, wind and shine! (and we got all of it!) – you guy’s are the best!

A heart stopping private property was the backdrop for Emel + Ersan’s big day. The design was bursting with greenery, ivory tones and luxe marble textures to create the perfect vibe for their relaxed celebrations.

The gorgeous couple exchanged vows under the lush four post arch which was then used as a canopy for guests to lounge under for the remainder of the evening.

From this lounge area guests were then welcomed into the marquee with a personalised Emel + Ersan entry feature, adorned with floral arrangements. The centrepiece to the reception (and our favourite part) was of course the beautiful bridal installation. The large steel linear structure, with intertwined foliage and florals framed the elegantly styled bridal table to create a truly picturesque feature. Oh, and in case you were wondering our second favourite part… was without-a-doubt the four-tiered marble finished cake. #foodporn.

We’re very stoked to have met these amazing humans, and have to worked in-tune with them to create something *this* special. Emel + Ersan, you’re incredible.

We truly believe that a party isn’t quite complete without these essentials; love, individuality, and of course, free-flowing cocktails. Delightedly, Carolyn + Craig thought exactly that, with their exquisitely unrefined celebrations delivering an abundance of fun and frivolity.

A beautifully tranquil property in country NSW was the poetic surrounding to this epic extravaganza that celebrated not only a 50th birthday, but also a 60th birthday and wedding (yep, you read correctly). But, being the party people we are, we couldn’t wait to throw our hands in the air like we just didn’t care! The styling for Carolyn + Craig’s teeming festivity exemplified awe-inspiring natural beauty. Understated collided with totally chilled vibes, and effortlessly married lush country landscapes with innate colours and textures drawn from an earthy palette.

A monumental deck design, equipped with an in-build bar + food station that featured 360 degree access was the vivid centerpiece to the revelry. Its organic reclaimed timber texture brought an authentically rustic quality to the design, and accentuated the vibrant greenery and floral arrangements that embellished it.

Above, a superbly voluminous canopy of wild native foliage and branches intertwined with rope detailing created a rugged, moody feel.

As an ode to Carolyn + Craig’s beloved horses, a second custom bar – because one sometimes isn’t enough – was dedicated to their precious Willy + Rosie. The high stable bar, complete with gold hinging and beautiful cascading foliage, met with luscious floral tablescape arrangements and tea lights to create the ultimate ‘sipping on delicious cocktails’ atmosphere.

With the afternoon sun casting a radiant light through the transparent marquee, guests were invited to kick back on the wooden pallet couches and soft furnishings of neutral suede pillows, ahead of a very special on stage performance. Enhanced with vibrant crimson arrangements and unruly native greenery cascading down the wall, the stage was a perfectly decorated setting for the insanely talented Wendy

Matthews band. As the sun set, the marquee opened up to a quaint lake view lounge, lit up by draped festoon lighting that angelically reflected off the water in the evening.

We couldn’t be happier for Carolyn + Craig celebrating these symbolic milestones, and we thank you for your trust, and for being as lovely and sweet as the loot bags.

And of course, hi-fives all-round to the extraordinary crew who *literally* turned the party WAY up to unimaginable heights!

A lot of our events involve pretty intense setting up, it’s all part and parcel of designing and building something from the ground up…

But when you have plenty of creative freedom, a love for the bride and groom, a blank canvas (literally!) and three days in 45 degree heat… you know the result has to be pretty special!

Our couple came to us 3 weeks before Christmas, 6 weeks before their wedding date. They had originally wanted to get married in their large front garden on the family’s private property. With so many obstructions (trees, pipes, fencing, etc), Sarah and I advised against it. It’s true what they say, when one door closes, another one swings wide open and smacks you in the face! We looked over to an overgrown field across the way and it hit us – That was it!

We walked into the grassy field completely unprepared for the occasional spider, snake or goat! (things we do!) but we were determined to show them how amazing it could be. Sarah and I talked and walked them through the picture in our heads, their ceremony location, then a winding path would be carved out lead guests to pre-dinner refreshments – sangria and summer canapes, then another path to the ‘dining area’ with one long table for the feasting, dance floor and lounge area/cinema (offering 3 types of popcorn) – all perfectly lit with strung lights. A pop-up restaurant, designed and made just for them, in the middle of a field. They loved it!! So now it was up to us to build it.

Armed with lights, flowers, furniture, ladders, our trusty tool box, tubs of sun cream and an eager crew, we brought the idea to life. Our camera shy couple don’t make an appearance, but this video (thanks to Humdrum Films) is a behind the scenes look into our set up of their magical day.
