Sometimes projects start small and evolve, but Ivy & Calvin’s started huge and then just got M-A-S-S-I-V-E!

We’re talking about a one week bump in involving 42 of our crew, 1500 bunches of flowers and foliage, 5000 faux delphiniums to completely transform a slice of lawn at The Mansion Hotel in Werribee into an enchanting dining venue. Our 5am starts and late finishes were all worth the end result.

The ceremony floral arch was an abundance of white and soft pink blooms that required the delicateness of our 15+ floral army.

The colour palette transitioned into dramatic shades of lavender, purple and fuchsia for the reception held at Werribee Mansion. Guests were greeted with signature cocktails from the marble bar, another stunning feature of this decadent marquee complete with wood floors and surrounding glass walls.

After pre dinner drinks, the curtains were drawn and the main dining space was revealed….{Insert sound of jaws dropping here}.

Above the decked out dining tables and beautiful cameo chairs hung a 17.5 metre dripping floral heaven. The beauty of the roof made only more luminous by the stunning chandeliers especially sourced from Brisbane.

Ivy & Calvin’s dreams were big and with their complete trust we were able translate their vision into one epic and smooth production. The highlight as with all our weddings was seeing their beaming faces all night long. Bravo to our amazing crew who are fiercely committed to the details and going above and beyond.

Once we discovered that Nadia and Jimmy were engaged in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, we knew we had to recreate a ‘getaway’ experience for their guests. It seemed so fitting given Nadia & Jimmy’s relaxed and down to earth nature.

This is what our team have designed for their day:

The ceremony, a classic elegant feel with a neutral colour palette that sat harmoniously against the ripe green vines at BAIE Wines.

Post ceremony, it’s time to grab a drink and mingle! We created a relaxed lounge setting under the Peppercorn tree fitted out with its own cocktail bar and brightly coloured blooms, the perfect setting for guests be treated to refreshing Mint & Lychee Coolers and Pina Coladas served by the oh-so-cool Tommy Collins crew, dressed in rolled up cinos and open collared shirts.

The guests were then ushered to the marquee for dinner. A glam resort feel with sea views to match.

They were welcomed into the clear marquee with a stunning roof installation created by our floral team; an unstructured mass of delicate foliage and white seasonal flowers cascaded down and complimented the three long tables set for Nadia & Jim’s inner circle of family and friends.

We used 450 bunches of green foliage, over 980 bunches of flowers including Hydrangrea, David Austin roses, Lisianthus, Amy Lou roses, and over 200 stems of Phalaenopsis orchids.

Nadia and Jimmy had their first dance on the open air dance floor under the stars and strung lights. Resort style lounges and cocktail tables offered guests a comfortable seat and a place to rest their drinks as they danced. No wedding is complete without a fully stocked outdoor bar decked out with more gorgeous floral arrangements.

This one was EPIC.. we calculated our planning, design and floral team would have clocked over 900 hours of planning, designing, prepping, floral arranging, setting up and packing down by the end of the wedding.

When the white marquee cover came off and we lit the final candle and straightened the last chair, we looked back and knew the sunburn, heatsrtroke, sleep deprivation, soreness, cuts and dirty feet were totally worth it… It’s still one of our favourite weddings we’ve ever created.

Our work is tough! It’s hot, we’ve been working 15-18 hour days and we’re exhausted.
There were some tears from Marie at the end of this, we were so proud of our team and although the elements and time constraints proved to be difficult, we soldiered on and knew that the result would be bigger than us. It was. A statement that we and our team love what we do and despite the obstacles, we will only produce quality every time. The result… an event full of heart and soul.

To our team we love you guys. Your drive, support for each other and your passion for each project have made us so proud.
