They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, well if ‘they’ are correct then these two lovers have an absolute lifetime of damn good luck ahead!

The day began on a stunning private property down in the Mornington Peninsula, the perfect setting for a relaxed, eclectic, bohemian style wedding that Mel + Seb had always envisioned.

As the sun poked out from behind the clouds, guests gathered for the ceremony with Seb waiting patiently for his bride in front of a custom macrame backdrop sitting in a garden of wild, earthy style florals and foliages.

As Mel walked down the aisle, the heavens opened and the rain came down (like a scene out of the notebook, you know the one..) A quick relocation to under the tipi and these two lovebirds were married in the most intimate, romantic, love filled ceremony surrounded (literally) by family and friends…

Styling was focussed around a neutral colour palette, natural textures such as bamboo, stone and timber with an abundance of earthy style florals, foliages and plants. White wicker and natural hemp rope pendants were suspended amongst 2 ceiling installations of wild native foliages. Below guests enjoyed a feasting style menu on white wash bamboo tables. Layered raw stone risers sat in a bed of florals whilst potted cactus and cotton added unexpected textures.

Rain, hail or shine nothing could have happened this day for Mel + Seb’s guests as they danced the night away celebrating such an unforgettable day!

No need to wish these two luck for the future but we will thank them oh so much for allowing us to be part of their special day, it will always be in our hearts and will be one we will never forget.

The timeless love story of our achingly cool couple Zoë and Emilio was perfectly summed up when we asked them how they met…. ‘ Zoë worked at the pub. Emilio drank at the pub.’ We thought that response, just like them, was brilliant and needed to be up in lights – pronto!

Cut to their Big Day and we were bringing all the sexy, moody vibes necessary for a night of revelry. Turn up the audio on this blog post peeps, it’s all about the sensory experience, starting with the eerie music box tune playing in the elevator up to South Melbourne’s prized rooftop venue, Luminare.

Overgrown greenery and red rose bushes gathered wildly above the dance floor, where decrepit chandeliers tilted and flickered. The table design oozed romance with decadent gold leafing on vases that were overflowing with red roses and discarded petals strewn over the tables.

And then there was that deck, home of the feature bar and tropically adorned lounge pods that were the perfect haven away from the busy dance floor. Guests grabbed a cocktail, melted into the comfy velvet sofas and shared the city views with Mr. Flamingo and Co.

With the lust-worthy Melbourne cityscape backdrop, Carly + Simon exchanged I do’s under the reclaimed steel archway decorated by soft white florals and greenery. After the ceremony, Carousel’s stunning deck was transformed into an alfresco entertaining area, complete with a custom geo-marble bar. Overlooking the serene Albert Park lake, the intimate lounge areas featured cosy couches with pops of marble and gold.

The tablescapes created a simplistic canvas on which marble tiles formed the base for the fresh and contemporary centerpieces. This modern feel continued through the design of the herringbone inspired ceiling installation, adorned with leafy foliage, pops of vibrant florals and crystal cut lighting.

We can’t thank these amazing humans enough for being insanely sweet and for allowing our inner luxe feels to ooze through.

Sometimes projects start small and evolve, but Ivy & Calvin’s started huge and then just got M-A-S-S-I-V-E!

We’re talking about a one week bump in involving 42 of our crew, 1500 bunches of flowers and foliage, 5000 faux delphiniums to completely transform a slice of lawn at The Mansion Hotel in Werribee into an enchanting dining venue. Our 5am starts and late finishes were all worth the end result.

The ceremony floral arch was an abundance of white and soft pink blooms that required the delicateness of our 15+ floral army.

The colour palette transitioned into dramatic shades of lavender, purple and fuchsia for the reception held at Werribee Mansion. Guests were greeted with signature cocktails from the marble bar, another stunning feature of this decadent marquee complete with wood floors and surrounding glass walls.

After pre dinner drinks, the curtains were drawn and the main dining space was revealed….{Insert sound of jaws dropping here}.

Above the decked out dining tables and beautiful cameo chairs hung a 17.5 metre dripping floral heaven. The beauty of the roof made only more luminous by the stunning chandeliers especially sourced from Brisbane.

Ivy & Calvin’s dreams were big and with their complete trust we were able translate their vision into one epic and smooth production. The highlight as with all our weddings was seeing their beaming faces all night long. Bravo to our amazing crew who are fiercely committed to the details and going above and beyond.

The conversation with Renee and Dave started with – “So we have this shed..” little did we know it was the shed to go into The Style Co. history books.

The beauty of private properties is that you can do what you like and that we did! We were in fruit-bin, pallet, and foraging heaven.

It took 3 days, 14 crew, 500 fruit bins, a whole bunch {read sh*t load} of pallets, 200 metres of strung lights and hours of foraging for fruit and foliage on the property to turn this fruit packing shed, normally home to semi trailers and forklifts, into a wedding venue unlike any other.

When we finish a set up we never feel anything less than overwhelmed with joy. But the feeling we had after transforming this shed for Renee & Dave’s big day was just indescribable!!!!

We LOVED everything about this wedding from the temporary walls and entrances (made of fruit bins), a raised lounge area, oversized ottomans, deli and cocktail bar (all made of pallets) to the family names stencilled onto the bins, floor decals and pear trees (freshly picked – thanks Mick!)

Every element oozed of Renee’s & David’s characters. Food, fun and family is was made these two lovebirds tick!

Once we discovered that Nadia and Jimmy were engaged in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, we knew we had to recreate a ‘getaway’ experience for their guests. It seemed so fitting given Nadia & Jimmy’s relaxed and down to earth nature.

This is what our team have designed for their day:

The ceremony, a classic elegant feel with a neutral colour palette that sat harmoniously against the ripe green vines at BAIE Wines.

Post ceremony, it’s time to grab a drink and mingle! We created a relaxed lounge setting under the Peppercorn tree fitted out with its own cocktail bar and brightly coloured blooms, the perfect setting for guests be treated to refreshing Mint & Lychee Coolers and Pina Coladas served by the oh-so-cool Tommy Collins crew, dressed in rolled up cinos and open collared shirts.

The guests were then ushered to the marquee for dinner. A glam resort feel with sea views to match.

They were welcomed into the clear marquee with a stunning roof installation created by our floral team; an unstructured mass of delicate foliage and white seasonal flowers cascaded down and complimented the three long tables set for Nadia & Jim’s inner circle of family and friends.

We used 450 bunches of green foliage, over 980 bunches of flowers including Hydrangrea, David Austin roses, Lisianthus, Amy Lou roses, and over 200 stems of Phalaenopsis orchids.

Nadia and Jimmy had their first dance on the open air dance floor under the stars and strung lights. Resort style lounges and cocktail tables offered guests a comfortable seat and a place to rest their drinks as they danced. No wedding is complete without a fully stocked outdoor bar decked out with more gorgeous floral arrangements.

This one was EPIC.. we calculated our planning, design and floral team would have clocked over 900 hours of planning, designing, prepping, floral arranging, setting up and packing down by the end of the wedding.

When the white marquee cover came off and we lit the final candle and straightened the last chair, we looked back and knew the sunburn, heatsrtroke, sleep deprivation, soreness, cuts and dirty feet were totally worth it… It’s still one of our favourite weddings we’ve ever created.

*** A SPECIAL NOTE TO OUR TEAM ***

Our work is tough! It’s hot, we’ve been working 15-18 hour days and we’re exhausted.
There were some tears from Marie at the end of this, we were so proud of our team and although the elements and time constraints proved to be difficult, we soldiered on and knew that the result would be bigger than us. It was. A statement that we and our team love what we do and despite the obstacles, we will only produce quality every time. The result… an event full of heart and soul.

To our team we love you guys. Your drive, support for each other and your passion for each project have made us so proud.
