Sarah + Adrian
A weekend down the Mornington Peninsula is always a good idea especially when you’re invited to celebrate the wedding of two awesome humans!
Sarah + Adrian came to us with a vision to throw a relaxed, fun and memorable party down at the family holiday house in Portsea. After several site inspections (with pit stops in Sorrento for vanilla slice of course) we realised the flow of the day would work best with the ceremony in the front garden after which guests would be welcomed into the backyard for pre dinner drinks and then the marquee for dinner and dancing.
Knowing how important it was to Sarah and Adrian for their guests to feel instantly welcomed we played with a lot of greenery, plants, rattan and timber.
The ceremony feature was a custom arch screen adorned with all our faves – dogwood, peonies and smokebush. Once the I do’s were done, the champagne was flowing and the never ending charcuterie and oyster station by our friends at Blake’s Feast was revealed.
The dining space had a modern feel with a sexier colour palette of reds, burgundys, gold and sage. The custom bar made of blonde timber dowel and brass detail perfectly framed and fueled the very busy dance floor. The night began with a dance set and literally everybody was up off their seats for a boogie with the new Mr + Mrs. This set the tone for an incredible evening with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, excellent wine and an outstanding band – the perfect recipe for a remarkable wedding. The partying continued until the wee hours of the morning
and then everyone was back at it for the recovery lunch the next day which beautifully capped off an unforgettable weekend.
A big thank you to Sarah + Adrian for allowing us to share this incredible journey with them, it truly was a magical weekend and we have no doubt lifelong memories were made.
