Kay + Sean Stones of the Yarra Valley
Every time we drive down the stunning tree lined entrance of Stones of the Yarra Valley we get that feeling that something magical is about to happen, this spring day in September was no exception!
Our gorgeous couple Kay and Sean were based in Singapore, inviting all their guests to experience Melbourne and it’s surrounds for a very special 3 day experience. During the initial stages of design, Kay + Sean expressed their love for effortless simplistic design, Japanese influences, the great outdoors and of course each other! This got our creative team buzzing with excitement to bring something very special to Stones…
In true Style Co. fashion we loved the idea of designing two totally different but complimentary tablescapes.
The outer tables began with a soft base of natural white linen. We organically stacked shell limestone pieces down the centres of the tables with spring florals of poppies, roses, hellebores, anemones and wheat dancing throughout. The clean arc of the neutral wish bone chairs added that simplistic modern edge.
To offset the softness of the outer tables we left the inner tables exposed raw timber with heavier florals of roses, scabiosa, rununculus and dancing lady orchids bursting from both ceramic and resin vessels. Adding the lotus chair in white enabled the design to remain modern with an earthy edge. Each guest sat down to a personalised deckled edge menu printed on a beautiful cotton stock.
And of course, how could we go past an installation of gorgeous spring blossom branches suspended throughout the ceiling!
Thank you Kay + Sean for such an amazing experience with you both and for trusting us with your special time here in Melbourne with your nearest and dearest.
