Karen and Michael wanted to treat their guests to a pre wedding lunch and tour of the Yarra Valley.
They approached us to plan and co-ordinate the day as well as style the lunch for them.
The lunch was to be colourful, casual and outdoors with great local food and wine, and area for the kids to play making it just as fun for them as it would be for the adults!
I instantly thought of the perfect place to hold it. The Stables is a newly opened function area at my favourite venue in the Yarra Valley, Stones of the Yarra Valley.
The kids area was so much fun! Our extra large, and super soft picnic area on the grass had a seemingly endless supply of paper, textas and chalk and created the perfect place for little kids to play!
Our mini table and wooden wine boxes was home to the mini lunch buffet and then just to give them a little sugar boost, a candy buffet later in the afternoon... love!
Our centres were an eclectic mix of colour and fragrance made up of Herbs: Rosemary, thyme, mint, basil, peppermint and Flowers: orchids, green dianthus, lisianthus, chrysanthemum and berries in jam jars.
Napkins were tied with twine and a sprig of rosemary.
White fabric was draped above the table to filter the afternoon sunlight... the icing on the cake!
