It’s not often that we get couples brave enough to want to play with colour but Mikki and Jonathon’s brief was to hit them with as much colour as possible…….naturally we obliged!
The ceremony took place at the home grounds of Jono’s beloved Carlton Football Club. Whilst the venue was a tad untraditional we wanted to ensure the formal part of the day’s celebrations remained elegant.
The second part to Mikki and Jono’s brief was to ensure that their reception venue, Peninsula, was transformed unlike anything their guests may have see before.
Our design team’s eyes lit up, and ideas flowed from hanging gardens to swarms of hanging acrylic triangles to our final design… clusters of wire clouds.
The custom clouds moulded from wire and each powder coated in white became the ceiling feature creating a spectacular installation…
The real oooooo-ahhhhhh moment came when the curtains were drawn and the clouds and tables were revealed. Tables were colour blocked with masses of stunning florals and custom designed table stationery – each menu and table number echoing the colour of the flowers.
The clouds remained white and ethereal as guests arrived to take it all in, then as the night moved on to the dance floor, the clouds were hit with colour. It was time to party!
Mikki and Jono’s wedding design wouldn’t have been successful without the trust of this oh-so-sweet couple and their families, our outrageously talented team who worked non stop to see this magic created and packed down in a hectic 24 hours, and of course, Brad Hampel from Solution Entertainment, who introduced us to this amazing couple. Bravo team!
